Terms of use

1. What these terms cover

Maestro is a desktop application that turns an idea into a working product: you describe it, a team of AI agents works, and you lead. The application is published by Thomas Cohen, sole trader (see the legal notice). By creating an account or using the application, you accept these terms.

2. The invitation-only beta

Maestro is in beta: access is free, by invitation, and a beta license is attached to your account. It may be suspended or revoked, particularly when the beta ends or if you breach these terms. Without an active license, you retain read access to your projects, exports, and versions; only starting new work is disabled. At the end of the beta, you will be offered a paid plan, with no obligation.

3. Your account

Your account is created with your email address (an email sign-in code, no password). You are responsible for access to your inbox. The service is intended for people aged fifteen and over. You can delete your account at any time in the application's Settings.

4. License to use the application

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Maestro application for the duration of your license. You must not resell the application, bypass its protections, or use it for unlawful purposes.

5. The AI assistants are yours

Maestro directs command-line AI assistants (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Mistral Vibe): you use your subscription and your key, and those providers' terms apply to their use. Maestro does not resell artificial intelligence and is not responsible for the availability or pricing of these third-party services.

6. Your creations belong to you

The ideas, documents, code, and products generated with Maestro are yours. In return, you are responsible for them: AI can make mistakes, so review and test before publishing or selling, and ensure your products comply with applicable law. Your projects live on your machine: remember to back them up (Maestro offers online backup to your own GitHub account).

7. A beta, without warranties

The application is provided “as is” and is still being built. We do not guarantee that it is error-free, continuously available, or that all features will be retained. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage; nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Your feedback

That's what the beta is for: the feedback, reports, and ideas you send us may be freely used to improve Maestro, without obligation or compensation.

9. Termination

You can stop at any time: delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate a license if you seriously breach these terms, or when the beta ends. In all cases, your projects remain on your machine.

10. Your data

Details of what we collect (very little) and your rights are in the privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the product evolves, particularly when paid plans launch. If there is a significant change, you will be notified by email or in the application; continuing to use Maestro constitutes acceptance of the current version.

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, we will first seek an amicable solution: contact@bemaestro.fr. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, without depriving consumers of the protective rules of their place of residence.
