How much does an MVP cost in 2026: ten agency quotes and the cost of an agent team
Ten quotes for the same project range from €3,500 to €45,000, and the cheapest is also the slowest. Freelancer barometers put a day between €454 and €520. Here are three pricing approaches side by side, and what each buys.
How much does an MVP cost in 2026? Between €3,500 and €45,000 according to ten real quotes for the same project, published by eid-lab.com in March 2026. A French freelancer bills a median €454–€520 daily according to three accessible barometers. An agent team you direct costs an assistant subscription of around €20 monthly and a few euros in tokens.
Ten quotes, and what they reveal
The eid-lab.com table gives each quote's amount, technology and timeline. The first, at €3,500, proposes WordPress with extensions in 8–12 weeks. Two middle quotes, €6,800 and €7,200, announce the same timeline. Three offers at €12,500, €16,800 and €18,200 then promise 4–8 weeks. The final three run from €25,000 to €45,000 for 8–16 weeks. The correlation everyone assumes between price and speed appears nowhere: the cheapest quote is slowest, and middle offers are fastest. In this table, paying more does not buy speed.
The same document cites a B2B platform delivered for €5,000 in fourteen calendar days, with accounts, profiles, matching, messaging and payments. An isolated figure is not an average, but indicates the market floor when scope stays short.
Freelancers' daily rates, without circulating unverifiable figures
Malt's barometer, France's most cited, no longer opens its rate pages publicly: figures circulating in summaries cannot be verified, so we do not repeat them. Three sources remain accessible. TJMètre, from 27,268 observations including 4,310 verified responses, gives the ‘Developer’ category a median €520 daily, first quartile €450 and third quartile €580, from 1,819 responses. Freeland, from 9,716 declared profiles, places development's median at €454, with the market core at €400 and rare skills at €550. A freelance-solution.fr compilation published in June 2026 puts the median around €485. Three methods, one €454–€520 interval: that is the figure to retain.
At that rate, an MVP of thirty billed days costs €13,600–€15,600 in labour. The €16,800 agency quote in eid-lab's table, promising source code, documentation, automated tests and training, no longer looks expensive.
What the small-quote market says, and what it does not
Codeur.com publishes an average daily rate of €125 for FlutterFlow development, collected in August 2026 from provider quotes, with an average project budget of €1,135. These amounts describe microprojects and distant services, not the French agency market. Citing them as an alternative to a €500 day compares two professions. The page announces its own measurement: thirty-one quotes received in forty-eight hours, for projects ranging from €250 to over €15,000. Such a broad range describes no particular project and mainly draws project owners into a form.
The agent column, and its real price
Since 2026, an owner can direct construction personally. A team of named agents writes the brief, requirements and stages; you read, correct and approve before code exists. Monetary cost fits into an assistant subscription of around €20 monthly and a few euros in tokens per project. The real cost is paid in hours: yours, deciding what an agency would have decided for you. Some agency pages already announce 40–60% price reductions attributed to generative AI, with MVPs at €2,000–€5,000: take those claims at their word and request details; agency prices have not followed falling model costs.
Cost your case before calling anyone
Write the first month's scope, not the second year's: the screens needed to earn your first euro. Count the days a developer would spend and multiply by 500. You obtain your project's honest floor, to compare with received quotes and custom software's five-year cost. Our own agent bills, line by line provide the third column's reference point.
